One of the reasons we bought this coffee is due to the overwhelmingly friendly nature of the producer as well as the joy brought by drinking it.
Where it is hard to put into words, this coffee just ‘fits’ into our offerings perfectly. A mild citric acidity leading to a caramel-like aftertaste makes you feel at home wherever you are. An Ideally lazy breakfast coffee!
Farmer: Ricardo Cuadra Fajardo
Farm Name: LOS ALITPLANOS DE DATANLÍ
Words from the farmer:
This farm was founded and named La Fundadora by the Scotsman Mr. Potter who sold it after being caught in the crossfire between the forces of the National Guard and those of Augusto Cesar Sandino in the late 1930's. Mr. Potter returned to Scotland and after his death his family sold it to President Somoza Garcia. It was later confiscated by the Nicaraguan state in the 80's and became part of the agrarian reform in the 90's. When it was put up for sale and I went to see it, I loved it and decided to buy it on the spot without hesitation.
